A mysterious black hole has appeared in space, threateningly close to Earth. Through a bizarre twist of fate, teenagers Alex Gordon and Dale Arden are sucked through this interdimensional doorway and transported to a world they could have never dreamed, and dangers they never dared imagine – the alien planet Mongo.
On this strange world, far from home, the stranded castaways discover how the ruthless domination of Ming, the evil ruler. has all but destroyed Mongo and decide to do something about it. Finding that there’s not much difference between riding a skateboard and flying an aisle, or throttling a video game and piloting an atomic rocket, Alex uses this teen instincts to aid a small but growing pocket of resistance against Ming. It is then he becomes known as “Flash!”

FLASH GORDEN, the original space hero and an inspiration behind the STAR WARS trilogy is based on Alex Raymond’s classic comic strip and movie serial characters. This animated series is set in a dazzling future of time warps, humanoid creatures and ingenious technology.
